Rahul Gandhi, born on June 19, 1970, to Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, currently holds the esteemed position of President of the Indian National Congress. Rahul Gandhi’s early life was marked by an emphasis on education and safety, given the security threats faced by his family following the tragic assassination of his father, Rajiv Gandhi, who served as India’s Prime Minister. Rahul pursued his education abroad, initially working with the Monitor Group in London before returning to India to establish Backops Services Private Ltd., a technology outsourcing firm.

His educational journey took him from St. Columbus’ School in New Delhi to The Doon School in Dehradun, and later to St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. He furthered his studies at Harvard University and Rollins College in the United States, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s Degree and an M.Phil from Trinity College, Cambridge.

In March 2004, Rahul Gandhi entered Indian politics and secured a resounding victory in the Amethi constituency, vowing to bridge divides and promote unity among communities. He assumed roles in various Congress committees, witnessing significant growth in organizations like the National Students’ Union of India and the Indian Youth Congress.

In January 2013, he became the Vice President of the Indian National Congress, solidifying his presence in the party. Rahul Gandhi has consistently advocated for the underprivileged and economically disadvantaged segments of society, often participating in grassroots movements, such as supporting farmers’ rights in Bhatta Parsaul.

His dedication and leadership culminated in his election as the President of the Indian National Congress in 2017.
